Thank you for your interest in a career with the L’Occitane Group. 2. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data
The purposes for processing your Personal Data are as follows:
- Register your application for a position within our Group
- Manage your application and the recruitment activities necessary to respond to your request or for the purposes of our legitimate interest in evaluating your application for potential recruitment
- Process your requests and inquiries

We do not base hiring decisions solely on the automated processing of your personal data. "Automated decision" refers to a decision concerning an individual that is based solely on the automated processing of personal data and that may have legal effects concerning them or significantly impact them. Specifically, when assessing your personality, needs, and qualities in relation to a position or managing your career using our dedicated solutions, a member of the HR team will be involved in conducting this assessment, interpreting the results, and formulating any potential recommendations.
If such an automated decision-making process were to be implemented, it would only be for the strict purposes of entering into or performing a contract, within the framework of specific legal provisions, or your explicit prior consent would be required. You would always have the option of requesting a review of this decision by a member of our team.
3. Disclosure of your Personal Data and potential transfers
The Human Resources department and job managers will have access to your Personal Data strictly for the purposes described above. As a member of an international group operating in numerous countries, we may disclose your Personal Data to other companies within the L’Occitane Group, if necessary for the purposes mentioned above.
It may also be shared with relevant service providers chosen for their expertise and reliability, acting on our behalf and under our instructions, to use your personal information only when necessary to provide services on our behalf (hosting, recruitment services, research analysis, etc.), in accordance with this Policy, or to comply with certain legal requirements.
Some of these affiliated companies and service providers may be located outside the European Economic Area. If your information is transferred to countries that do not have adequate measures in place to protect your personal data, we will ensure either:
- that we enter into appropriate data transfer agreements that comply with the standard contractual clauses established by the European Commission, or
- that these transfers and the third parties involved comply with appropriate safeguards. In particular, in the case of data transfers to the United States, we will adhere to the Privacy Shield Framework regarding the collection, use, and storage of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States.
You can obtain more information about these safeguards by contacting us by email or mail at the addresses provided in the "Contact Us" section below.
Please note that your use of other websites, such as job sites or professional social networks (LinkedIn®, etc.), is governed exclusively by the terms and conditions of those third-party sites. Please read the terms and conditions of use of these sites carefully.
